Hi there, we’re Article. 👋 Since 2013, we’ve been redefining the furniture industry one sofa at a time, and in 2024, we opened our first-ever retail showroom in East Vancouver. As a Furniture Sales Floor Lead, you’ll be the face of Article, making every in-store interaction feel easy, inspiring, and memorable.
Please note: Interviews for this role will be held on-site at our Vancouver HQ (1010 Raymur Ave).
Availability:
Our store is open 7 days a week, 10 am -6 pm PST.
As a full-time employee, you must have a minimum availability of five days per week, including mandatory availability on 4 weekdays and either Saturday or Sunday. While you may be scheduled for just one weekend day, there may be instances where both Saturday and Sunday are required. Work schedules will be provided at least two weeks in advance, with specific start times varying within a specified range.
We require individuals with flexible availability. The shifts you will be assigned to will typically be between the following hours:
9am - 7pm PST.

What You'll Do:
The Retail team strives to offer a remarkably better customer experience from the moment they enter the store.
- Lead daily floor operations as a trusted Keyholder
- Provide hands-on coaching, mentorship, and support to Sales Associates
- Train new Particles on Article’s approach to customer experience, product knowledge, and sales
- Guide customers through the store and online order process with warmth and confidence
- Help resolve issues quickly — whether in person, over the phone, via email, or live chat
- Contribute to daily sales goals by creating an environment where people love to shop
- Help maintain store standards, visual displays, and a beautiful showroom environment
- Use tools and systems to keep workflows smooth and customers supported
- Create a team-first, “Win Together” atmosphere on the floor
- Share feedback with your General Manager to help improve operations and team success
Who You Are:
Leadership & Coaching
- Experience leading or mentoring in a retail or customer-facing role
- Confident in giving feedback and helping others grow
- A supportive teammate who models “above the line” behavior
Customer Experience
- Friendly, thoughtful, and great with people
- Adaptable and able to turn challenges into opportunities
- Comfortable helping customers in person and through multiple channels (chat, email, phone)
Sales & Operations
- Results-focused, with a track record of driving or supporting sales goals
- Organized and able to handle multiple priorities on the floor
- Comfortable using software tools and switching between systems
Additional Requirements
- Must be 18+
- Legally able to work in Canada
- Completion of a criminal background check
- Able and willing to move items up to 30 lbs (13.6 kg)
- Interior Design education or experience is a plus, but not required
- Experience in home furnishings or design-focused retail is a plus, but not required
