Job Overview

As Tiro continues to grow, we're excited to welcome a Product Manager to our team to lead the evolution of our work-based learning programmes, a portfolio that transforms lives, drives industry impact, and shapes the future of science and technology education.

In this newly created position, you’ll own every stage of the product journey, from concept and launch through to implementation, adoption, and delivery. Combining strategic thinking with disciplined project management, you’ll bring structure, focus, and momentum to every initiative. You’ll ensure every programme is innovative, commercially strong, and delivered on time, on budget, and to the highest standards.

We're Tiro. We’ve been helping hungry apprentices join ambitious businesses since 2005. At Tiro, we believe that great apprenticeships help everyone, because there are remarkable apprentices out there just waiting to be found, and fantastic employment opportunities waiting to be filled. Our work is never just about filling vacancies.  It’s about changing the world. We’re helping to find people who are driving innovation in sustainable materials, improving the efficiency of UK manufacturing, and shaping the technologies of the future. And we’re proud to be playing our part.

Key Responsibilities

You’ll own the rhythm of our product lifecycle, from first spark to full delivery and beyond. You’ll manage each programme through every stage of its journey: concept, design, launch, review, and renewal. You’ll keep every product healthy and high-performing, ensuring content, assessments and learning resources stay relevant, compliant, and impactful for learners and employers alike.

You’ll be the guardian of our learning design, ensuring every programme is coherent, flexible, and grounded in real-world industry needs. You’ll coordinate the right expertise to create learning that’s relevant, accredited, and commercially strong, while developing new propositions like CPD, micro-credentials, and short courses that expand our reach and open new paths for learners to grow.

You’ll help shape our product strategy, assessing opportunities, developing business cases, and ensuring every programme delivers real value for learners, employers, and the business. You’ll collaborate across Propositions, Finance, and Sales to test new ideas, refine pricing and go-to-market plans, and turn innovation into impact keeping us commercially strong, quality-led, and ahead of the curve.

Above all, you’ll turn ideas into action, leading the implementation and delivery of industry-led learning products with precision and pace. You’ll own the roadmap from concept to launch, ensuring every programme is scoped, planned, and executed to high standards, on time and within budget.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

We’re not interested in a tick-box list of qualifications. We’re looking for someone who brings the right attitude, aptitude, and credibility.

As our Product Manager, you will:

  • Have proven experience in product management or programme development, ideally within education, training, or skills-based industries.
  • Be an expert project manager who can lead and inspire stakeholders at all levels to take a product from concept to launch and keep it performing long after.
  • Be someone who can see the big picture and make it happen. You’re driven by curiosity and care, combining strategic thinking with sharp execution to deliver learning that works.
  • Communicate brilliantly, bringing people with you through clarity, empathy and collaboration.
  • Believe in Learning as a Force for Change. You stay curious about the world around you, the industries we serve, the technologies reshaping them, and the skills our learners need to thrive.
  • Stay calm, balanced, and focused when things shift. You take setbacks in your stride, learn fast, and turn challenges into momentum.
Safeguarding

This role involves contact with learners aged 16 and over. Tiro is committed to the safeguarding and well-being of all our learners, staff, and customers. We fully recognise our responsibilities for protecting vulnerable groups.
It is our policy to promote the safety, health, and well-being of everyone we work with. Safeguarding checks will be undertaken as part of your application, and if successful, you’ll be required to complete a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check for the position.
