NQ Lawyer - Professional Misconduct
Permanent £32,198 / yearJob Overview
We’re recruiting for a Newly Qualified Lawyer to join our Professional Regulatory and Criminal (PRC) team. This is an exciting opportunity to manage your own caseload of professional regulatory and misconduct matters, supporting clients through investigations and representation before professional bodies such as the HCPC, NMC, SWE and TRA.
You’ll also assist colleagues on wider team cases where needed and play an important role in helping the team achieve its objectives. The role requires sound judgement, strong communication skills and the ability to manage cases from start to finish. Full training will be provided if you’re new to this area of law.
The role...
In this role, you’ll handle a varied caseload of professional regulatory and misconduct cases, advising and representing clients throughout each stage of the process. You’ll work closely with colleagues on more complex matters, assess prospects, and provide clear and practical advice to clients. Strong file management and attention to detail are key, as is the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines. You’ll also have regular contact with clients, trade union officers and other stakeholders, building trusted relationships and ensuring high standards of service at all times.
Who we are looking for...
We’re looking for an admitted solicitor (0 - 2 Yrs PQE), legal executive or equivalent with a genuine interest in professional regulatory and misconduct work. You’ll be confident communicating both in writing and verbally, highly organised and able to work accurately under pressure. Experience within this area of law would be an advantage, but we’re equally keen to hear from those looking to develop their expertise with the support of a highly experienced team.
You’ll be empathetic, tactful and professional when dealing with sensitive cases, and proactive in your approach to work. An understanding and alignment with the trade union and labour movement is important, and while not essential, a driving licence would be beneficial.
