Lifeguard

Ensure that all tasks related to lifeguard are carried out in a responsible manner in accordance with Kempinski standards.

1. Set up of the life-saving floatation devices along the shoreline/around the pool.
2. Correct flag (colors) must be put up during business hours.
3. Rescue Surfboard/Boat ready on the shoreline.
4. First Aid Kit at the beach/pool chair/post.
5. Posting of business hours.
6. The depth of the pool (s).
7. Water & Air Temperatures.
8. Wind force/Wind speed

1. Responsible for the logging in and logging out of the windsurfers, sailing boats and number of crew and sea bikes and number of crew. Ensures that these activities are executed in the designated areas.
2. Monitors / observes and controls the windsurfers, sailors, and sea bikes while out on the sea. Supervise and organizes the rescue of windsurfers, sailing boat or sea bikes if needed.
3. Responsible for ensuring that all Water Sports activities or Pool Activities are executed according to the Security Rules.
4. Responsible for a temporary replacement while going to the bathroom and for lunch or breaks etc.
5. Perform all duties and responsibilities in a timely and efficient manner in accordance with established company policies and procedures to achieve overall objectives of this position.
6. Understand and strictly adhere to the Rules & Regulations established in the Employees Handbook and the Hotel’s policy on Fire, Hygiene, Health & Safety.
7. Ensure that all potential and real hazards are reported and rectified immediately.

1. Strong swimming skill and good working knowledge health club and swimming pool operation.
2. Commitment to professional values and integrity 
3. Cross cultural sensitivity
4. Fluent in oral and written English
5. College education. 
6. Lifeguard certification
