About the Role:

Vicon Motion Systems, Inc. (Vicon) is seeking a Warehouse Associate to work in our Centennial, Colorado office.  The regular schedule is Monday through Friday (day shift) 7 hours/day (35 hours per week).  

Warehouse Operations Department Overview

The Warehouse Operations department is structured as a one-person unit, requiring a high level of autonomy and accountability. The individual in this role must demonstrate exceptional reliability, dependability, and self-reliance to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.

Responsibilities include managing inventory, coordinating shipments and deliveries, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring compliance with safety and operational standards. Given the independent nature of the role, the warehouse operator must be proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of making sound decisions without direct supervision.

Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities

Shipping 
  • Reviews sales orders throughout the day to prioritize workload
  • Picks/packs/ships orders and updates the system when fulfilled
  • Verifies items to pick tickets, serial number to traceability reports
  • Coordinates ground and freight shipments with proper labeling and shipping instructions (including international shipping) 
  • Files completed sales orders/invoices and other relevant information 
Receiving
  • Reviews incoming shipments throughout the day to prioritize workload
  • Receives and unload trucks with incoming product
  • Performs quality checks on incoming product
  • Records, reports, and returns of defective items
  • Updates/receives incoming products in inventory management software
General Warehouse Operations
  • Maintains a clean, organized, and safe warehouse
  • Maintains adequate stock of packaging materials and other necessary supplies 
Requirements
  • Forklift and pallet jack operating experience
  • Basic ability to navigate computer software programs (order management, inventory management), and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience with shipping vendors such as FedEx (preferred)
  • Experience with Oracle NetSuite shipping and receiving software (preferred)
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid Driver’s License
Experience:
  • Warehouse: 2 years 
Physical Requirements: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach with hands and arms, and use hands and fingers to handle or free objects.  Often may exert over 50 pounds of force to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.  Must be able to periodically stand for up to 5-7 hours a day and will frequently move about the workspace. Requires the ability to make precisely coordinated movements of the fingers of one or both hands to grasp and manipulate objects.  The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
