Key Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

• Financial Reporting: Month-end close, reviewing records, posting journals, managing fixed assets. Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports to provide insights into business performance.
• Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts, ensuring alignment with business goals.
• Cost Analysis: Conduct variance analysis and cost management to identify areas for improvement and efficiency.
• Financial Strategy: Collaborate with senior management (CFO) to develop financial strategies that support business growth and profitability.
• Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure compliance with financial regulations and manage financial risks within the organization.
•  VAT Compliance: Preparing and reviewing Irish VAT returns, collecting necessary data, and assisting with cross-border VAT. (submitting is not a requirement)
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with other departments to provide financial insights and support decision-making processes.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Educational Background: A degree in accounting, finance, or a related field; professional qualifications (e.g., ACCA, CIMA) are often preferred.
• Analytical Skills: Strong numerical and analytical abilities to interpret financial data and make informed decisions.
• Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail in financial reporting and analysis.
• Communication Skills: Ability to present financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders and collaborate effectively across teams.
• Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with accounting software and financial modelling tools.
