To maintain workshops in the Construction centre area to a high standard of cleanliness and tidiness, prepare and organise materials and tools, and assist with the smooth running of the construction and building services department by providing technical support to lecturers.

Key Responsibilities
1. Manage and organise the construction and building services section.
- To ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of workshops, equipment and tools.
- To ensure that all tools are safe for students and staff. To ensure that all tools and equipment are clean and available when needed.
- To ensure the cleanliness of all workshop areas (including floors) by adhering to weekly cleaning schedules.
- To ensure the good working order of all equipment.
2. Maintain accurate stock control for the department.
- To be responsible for completing and updating inventories of tools and equipment.
- To order stock when appropriate.
- To dispose/recycle construction and building services waste.
- To set up new suppliers.
- Responsible for the security of tools and equipment, as well as everyday running of the workshops.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- Educated to Level 2 Safeguarding
- Level 1 certificate or willingness to work towards this
- A personal commitment to keeping your professional knowledge up to date and improving your capabilities.
- Knowledge of health and safety procedures.
- Knowledge of machines and hand tools
