🩺 What You'll Do:
Daily responsibilities include:
- Emergency Triage & Stabilization: Quickly assess and stabilize emergency cases
- ICU Monitoring: Track vitals, manage pain, fluid therapy, and oxygen support
- Surgical Support: Prep patients, assist in anesthesia, monitor recovery
- Diagnostics: Perform radiographs, run lab samples, and interpret results
- Medication Administration: Deliver IV, IM, SQ, and PO meds accurately
- Client Communication: Provide compassionate, clear updates and discharge instructions
- Workflow Coordination: Prioritize care, maintain accurate records in EMRs
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with ER DVMs and overnight teammates
✅ What We’re Looking For
Preferred Experience:
- 1+ years working in a veterinary hospital, kennel, animal shelter, or emergency clinic
- Overnight or emergency experience is a plus
Certifications:
- LVT, RVT, or CVT preferred (but not required)
- We welcome Veterinary Assistants with strong clinical skills and a desire to grow
Technical Skills:
- Confident in venipuncture, catheter placement, surgical prep
- Basic knowledge of anesthesia monitoring, CPR, fluid calculations
Soft Skills:
- Clear communication (verbal & written)
- Calm under pressure and emotionally resilient
- Detail-oriented, dependable, and a team player
