Job Overview

The Identity and Access Management (IAM) Lead manages risks in the identity and access lifecycle and drives digital identity initiatives. They lead the IAM team, stay updated on technology and best practices, address security threats, oversee enterprise directories, ensure compliance with policies and regulations, and support organizational change.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure KPIs, SLAs, and compliance standards are consistently met.
  • Oversee daily operations and implement process improvements.
  • Manage client updates, escalations, and stakeholder communication.
  • Analyze performance metrics and prepare reports for leadership and clients.
  • Ensure authorized users have the right access to company systems, data, and applications, and manage user identity lifecycle including onboarding, offboarding, and account updates.
  • Plan, implement, and manage identity and access management (IAM) solutions, administering user accounts, permissions, and access controls.
  • Monitor activity logs to identify security incidents and respond to audit findings with remediation measures.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to ensure the IAM program meets business needs and complies with laws and regulations.
  • Develop and maintain training materials related to IAM and handle escalated customer inquiries and support tickets.

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in computer science or a related field, with professional certification such as Certified Identity and Access Manager (CIAM) or Certified Identity Management Professional (CIMP).
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in IAM or a related field, including at least 3 years in a lead role.
  • Strong technical skills, including experience with identity and access management solutions, IT security, SQL databases, and knowledge of dynamic/high-level languages such as PowerShell or Python.
  • Familiarity with best practices, compliance standards, and strong project management skills.
  • Demonstrated experience in IT security or an associated field, with the ability to lead and manage IAM initiatives effectively.
