We are looking for a Staff Accountant to serve as an essential supporting function of the accounting team. The ideal candidate will have a sound educational and some working background in accounting/finance, possess strong communication and analytical skills, and can work independently.
Key Responsibilities
- Data input, invoice analysis
- Preliminary analysis of sales, production and other accounting data
- Physical inventory observation, price testing
- Verification of claim to source documents
- Interview of Insured’s or claimant representatives relative to each assignment
- Checking and proofing report schedules and reports
- Copying, research and other miscellaneous tasks
- Additional adhoc tasks as per business requirements
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
- Accounting or finance degree
- Accounting-related internship/work experience, highly desirable
- Working towards CPA / CA qualification favourable
- Strong attention to detail, and excellent problem-solving abilities
- Comfortable taking ownership of individual responsibilities
- Must be able to work under pressure and/or tight deadlines
- Open to taking feedback and good at taking direction
- IT literate with good MS office skills. Accounting software experience, a plus!
