About the role

We’re seeking an experienced and strategic Senior Account Manager lead a portfolio of integrated marketing accounts and drive exceptional client results. In this role, you'll oversee a dynamic mix of clients representing approximately $1M in revenue, guiding campaign development, client strategy, and cross-functional execution across media, digital, and creative.

You’ll own key relationships, deliver high-impact solutions, and ensure projects meet their objectives—while playing a mentorship role within the account team to ensure quality and collaboration across deliverables. This role is ideal for someone who excels at both big-picture thinking and hands-on execution in a fast-paced agency environment.

Key Responsibilities

Client Relationship & Growth: Serve as the senior relationship lead across a portfolio of client accounts, acting as a trusted advisor and strategic partner. Lead the development of long-term account roadmaps, guiding the team and the client toward long-term, strategic growth. Anticipate client needs, identify opportunities to expand services, and unlock new ways to deliver value.
Program Strategy & Execution: Own the strategic direction and execution of integrated marketing campaigns across digital, media, and creative channels. Translate complex business goals into actionable marketing plans and ensure cross-functional alignment around key objectives and deliverables.
Team Leadership & Mentorship: Provide informal leadership and mentorship to account team members (such as Account Managers and APMs), helping guide prioritization, decision-making, and executional excellence across accounts. Foster a strong internal team dynamic without direct line management.
Project Oversight: Manage scopes of work, timelines, budgets, and resource planning across your book of business. Ensure operational precision while proactively identifying risks, gaps, and optimization opportunities across workflows and deliverables.
Collaboration & Communication: Lead communication across internal teams and external client stakeholders, ensuring visibility, alignment, and strategic focus throughout every campaign lifecycle. Prepare and deliver high-level presentations and client-facing materials with clarity and polish.
Performance Analysis & Optimization: Oversee reporting outputs and provide strategic interpretation of campaign performance. Partner with analytics and media teams to assess impact, offer insights, and recommend optimizations rooted in client KPIs and business priorities.
Proposals & Strategic Scoping: Lead proposal development and scope refinement. Support revenue retention and growth by recommending project expansions, service enhancements, and forward-looking strategic initiatives. Collaborate with leaders across departments to ensure solutions are scoped accurately and reflect the full breadth of the agency’s capabilities.
 

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

  • 6–8 years of experience in a marketing or advertising agency environment
  • Proven ability to lead integrated marketing campaigns across digital, media, and creative
  • Demonstrated success managing multiple mid-to-large accounts with varying scopes and team structures
  • Strong strategic thinking skills and the ability to independently translate client goals into actionable plans
  • Confident communicator with experience leading senior-level client conversations and executive presentations
  • Skilled in managing scopes of work, timelines, and budgets with cross-functional teams
  • Experience mentoring team members and fostering collaboration in a project-based or matrixed environment
  • Adept at balancing long-term planning with short-term delivery in a fast-paced setting
  • Proficient in agency project management systems like Asana; familiarity with marketing automation or analytics platforms is a plus
