Key Responsibilities
- Support bridge design and analysis for a variety of multi-disciplinary transportation projects
- Work closely with senior engineers and cross-functional teams to prepare design calculations, plans, and specifications
- Take ownership of assigned tasks while helping to guide entry-level engineers on project work
- Contribute to project schedules, budgets, and quality standards by completing work accurately and efficiently
- Participate in site visits and bridge inspections during design and construction to observe conditions, gather data, and support field verification
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering with a concentration in Structural Engineering
- PE or EIT registration preferred
- Typically requires 4-6 years of experience in bridge engineering and design
- Familiarity with NHDOT strongly preferred; other DOT experience will be considered
- Proficiency in structural analysis and design software such as OpenBridge and MathCAD
- Ability to prepare design calculations, specifications, and technical reports compliant with NHDOT and federal requirements
- Experience collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams
