 West Hills North Veterinary Clinic in Huntington, NY is seeking a hands-on, multi-modal Veterinary Practice Manager to support both the operational success of the hospital and the clinical team on the floor.

This is an ideal opportunity for someone with veterinary hospital experience and Veterinary Assistant skills who thrives in a leadership environment and enjoys being actively involved in patient care, team support, and practice operations. While LVT licensure is not required, candidates must have real veterinary field experience and strong clinical support capabilities.

🐾 Position Overview

As our Veterinary Practice Manager – Operations, Clinical & Floor Support, you will work closely with the Managing Veterinarian (MDVM) and leadership team to ensure smooth, profitable, and compassionate hospital operations. You will play a key role in leading staff, optimizing workflow, supporting patient care, and enhancing the client experience.

This is a multi-modal leadership role for someone who enjoys both managing operations and being part of the floor team.

You Will Love

  • Oversee daily operations of a small animal veterinary clinic.
  • Support hospital workflow, scheduling, and team coordination.
  • Assist on the floor with patient handling, restraint, and workflow support as needed.
  • Partner with the MDVM to manage staffing, scheduling, and performance.
  • Help drive client experience initiatives and client service standards.
  • Support administrative functions, including payroll coordination, inventory oversight, and hospital procedures.
  • Coach, support, and mentor team members.
  • Identify process improvements and help optimize hospital efficiency.
  • Act as a bridge between leadership and the hospital team.

You Will Bring

  • Minimum 3+ years experience in a veterinary hospital or clinic (required).
  • Strong Veterinary Assistant or Technician skills: patient handling, assisting doctors/techs, treatment support, and clinic workflow.
  • Leadership or supervisory experience strongly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of veterinary clinic operations and hospital flow.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and team leadership skills.
  • Highly organized, adaptable, and calm under pressure.
  • Experience with practice management software is a plus.
  • LVT license welcome but not required.
