We’re now looking for a Real-Time Operations Coordinator to join our Operations team and play a critical role in ensuring our smart meter engineers can complete jobs safely, on time, and with great customer service .

What We Need from Yü
In this role, you’ll be the first point of contact for our field engineers on the day of installation and other planned jobs. You’ll help keep jobs on track, support with queries, and make sure customers are kept informed.

- Providing live support to smart meter engineers during installations and commissioning
- Answering queries via WhatsApp, Teams, and phone
- Identifying jobs at risk and taking action to keep them moving
Job & Customer Coordination
- Contacting customers with updates, access issues or delays
- Reallocating or rescheduling jobs in partnership with planners and team leaders
- Logging changes accurately in our systems
Operational support
- Helping with warrant paperwork and office-based warrant activity
- Escalating technical commissioning issues
- Working closely with Team Leaders, Planners, and the wider Operations team
About Yü
You don’t need smart metering experience — we’ll train you — but you will need:
- Experience in operations, customer service, field coordination, scheduling, dispatch, or real-time work
- The ability to stay calm and organised when things get busy
- Confident communication skills
- A problem-solving mindset
- Strong attention to detail
- Enjoy working with people (engineers, customers, managers, partners)
Desirable:
- Experience of the Utilities industry would be beneficial but is not essential.
