The Deputy Continuing Airworthiness Manager is responsible to the Nominated Postholder Continuing Airworthiness (NPCA) for day-to-day continuing airworthiness management activities and to act on behalf of the NPCA in their absence. Working in accordance with the applicable procedures and regulatory requirements of a Part-CAMO approved organisation.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

  • Assist with the creation, management and analysis of Aircraft Maintenance Programs for the managed aircraft in accordance with the applicable regulations.
  • Compiling & ensuring that data used for any modification and repairs complies with the applicable regulation.
  • Assist with the management of maintenance data pertaining to the accomplishment of any applicable directives or service information.
  • Raising of work order requests, in conjunction with the maintenance planner, for scheduled and non-scheduled maintenance activities on the fleet for completion by 3rd Party MRO’s
  • Assist with the coordination to ensure that any maintenance is carried out properly and is appropriately released for the determination of aircraft airworthiness. Ensuring that aircraft, engine(s), propeller(s) and components are taken to an appropriately approved maintenance organisation.Assisting with the establishment and management of written maintenance contracts and technical records
  • Assisting the Continuing Airworthiness Manager in their day-to-day activities.
  • Updating the Aircraft Records with hours and cycles information from ATLs.
  • Assisting in the planning of maintenance inputs in liaison with the Continuing Airworthiness Manager and contracted Maintenance Organisations.
  • Updating aircraft log books and safe keeping.
  • Updating the Aircraft Records after the completion of work packages.
The following safety responsibilities:
  • Ensuring they intervene to prevent unsafe conditions from developing.
  • Reporting potential hazards. 
  • Reporting incidents, accidents and near misses. 
  • Being aware of human factors and human factor limitations. 
  • Familiarising themselves with the Safety Management System. 
  • Identifying safety improvements. 
  • Cooperating with safety surveys, audits, and investigations.

Technical Experience & Qualifications

  • Relevant experience in CAMO management or continuing airworthiness roles, preferably in a comparable position.
  • Experience with EASA continuing airworthiness regulations and operational requirements.
  • Familiarity with management systems in aviation (quality systems, regulatory compliance, audit readiness).
  • Excellent planning, organisational, communication skills; ability to think independently and propose process improvements.
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken).
  • Computer literate; able to work with technical documentation, regulatory manuals, maintenance records; comfortable with digital tools / systems (e.g. maintenance tracking, document control).
