Maccreanor Lavington is a multi-award-winning, design-led architecture and urbanism practice with offices in Rotterdam and London. We pride ourselves on shaping places where all can thrive, and our work spans the design and delivery of whole city masterplans to single storey dwellings. Although we work in many sectors we have a particular interest in urban design, residential, and education architecture.
We currently have an opportunity for an Office Manager to join our Rotterdam team where your priority will be to foster a friendly, inclusive, and professional environment to support our people and culture. You'll be the first point of contact for all colleagues and visitors and will ensure that they experience the office and all dealings with us, positively. Ultimately you will be responsible for the smooth running of the office, creating a workplace where we can do our best work and thrive.
Key Responsibilities
You will have responsibility for supporting various operational activities including Human Resources and Finance. Key elements of this role are the seamless coordination of essential administrative processes and maintaining company compliance with legal requirements to minimise risk and create space for efficient working.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
Qualifications
- A qualification in a related field including business, administration or HR is preferred but not essential
- Dutch language proficiency
Experience
- 3+ years working in an office administration or manager position
- Previous experience working with and supporting management and leadership teams is desirable.
- Previous experience working in a professional creative environment such as Architecture – is desirable but not essential.
Knowledge
- Understanding of Dutch Labor laws and HR best practice
- Microsoft Office is essential, HRIS systems and accounting software is desirable
- Working knowledge of Arbowet and including RI&E processes
