Job Overview

We are currently hiring for a 2nd Shift Maintenance Supervisor
The Maintenance Supervisor serves as the key technical resource for the production maintenance operation focusing on preventive maintenance, troubleshooting and problem resolution of all processing equipment systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Organize and facilitate the maintenance of all plant production equipment to maximize equipment uptime and to resolve quality and production related issues with an emphasis on continuous improvement, including electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical troubleshooting.
  • Improve the effectiveness of the maintenance function by driving solutions to reduce equipment downtime.
  • Supervise a crew of (4) four or more employees, including interviewing, hiring, training, assigning, and directing work, performance evaluation, recognition, and disciplining, addressing complaints and resolving problems.
  • Manage and report on Maintenance KPIs. Target actions to drive improvements in these areas.
  • Manage procurement of parts and services while identifying and implementing cost savings projects in these areas
  • Proactively champion technical issues and see them through to completion.
  • Ensure compliance with all company standards including sanitation, safety, quality, productivity, and budget. Ensure compliance with all required permits.
  • Seek out production needs and prioritize own work accordingly.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise


  • A minimum of 8 years of food manufacturing experience (USDA and SQF preferred)
  • At least 1 years of supervisory experience in a maintenance department with 4 or more employees
  • Strong people and project management skills
  • Ability to solve problems using critical and analytical thinking skills.
  • Experience with Lean and 5S programs preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, parts diagrams, and electrical schematic drawings.
  • Must have formal training through prior work experience and/or from a trade school or technical college.
  • Must be "hands-on" and assist in completing maintenance work.
  • Able to work in a fast paced, cold, wet, refrigerated environment.
  • Candidate must successfully pass post-offer/pre-employment drug and background screen.
