Job Overview

Enva is a leading provider of recycling and resource recovery solutions, providing high end
environmental/engineering solutions involving directly employed engineers, technicians and operators, large amounts of bespoke and complex equipment similar to construction industry and technical solutions to waste management and water and waste treatment.

We are seeking a Safety Operations Manager with a technical background to join our growing team to ensure our day-to-day operations are conducted in compliance with health and safety regulations on  both our customer sites and our own facilities.

Key Responsibilities

The candidate would require a strong health and safety background to:

  • Support the overall Enva HSE program to ensure compliance with all regulatory and company
  • requirements
  • Implement safety policies and review and develop SOPs
  • Carry out onsite risk assessment and hazard identification of works,
  • Review and develop Method Statements and Risk Assessments
  • Manage and deliver HSE related training.
  • Report on incidents and accidents and to carry out investigations and monitor follow up actions
  • Carry out HSE audits and inspections
This role would suit someone with a background in Engineering, Logistics, Construction, Health & Safety, looking for the next step in their career, that will develop a broad set of skills including:
  • Health and Safety
  • Environmental compliance, Waste management, ADR and DGSA regulations
  • Team Management
  • Commercial ability with exposure to pricing and profitability

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

  • Relevant technical qualification/or sufficient experience 
  • Third level qualification in Health & Safety 
  • Additional qualification in an Environmental discipline is an advantage 
  • Strong practical and energetic approach to every task 
  • Excellent communication skill, verbal and written and interpersonal skills. 
  • Experience with ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001 and ISO 450001
  • DGSA qualification or knowledge of the carriage of dangerous good by road would be an advantage. 
  • Experience in confined spaces, working at heights and chemical handling would be an advantage 
  • Must have a full, clean, driving licence.
