Neel Veterinary Hospital is growing and looking for experienced Veterinary Technicians to join our team in a fast-paced 24-hour hospital. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to small animal patients
  • Assist veterinarians with exams, diagnostics, treatments, and procedures
  • Support surgical procedures, including anesthesia monitoring and patient recovery (surgical experience is a plus)
  • Perform laboratory testing, radiographs, and medication administration
  • Educate and communicate with clients on patient care and treatment plans
  • Take initiative to support daily workflow and patient advocacy
  • Serve as a leadership presence on the floor, supporting assistants and fellow technicians
  • Maintain accurate medical records and uphold hospital standards

Skills Knowledge and Expertise

  • High school diploma or GED required; Veterinary Technician experience in a general practice setting strongly preferred (at least 1 year of veterinary medicine experience preferred)
  • Bright, friendly, and effective communicator with clients, veterinarians, visitors, and hospital staff (it’s okay if you talk to animals, too!)
  • Demonstrated leadership ability or interest in growing into a leadership role
  • Surgical and anesthesia experience a plus, but not required
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to sit, stand, walk, and move freely for extended periods
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, including squirming patients
  • Comfortable working in a veterinary environment with potential exposure to infectious or contagious diseases
  • Registered Veterinary Technician preferred but not required
