Job Description


The Director of UI/UX will be responsible for executing the overall user experience strategy across Eptura's product portfolio as astrategic leader. This role requires a visionary design leader who can balance hands-on design excellence with strategic thinking, leading a team of talented designers and researchers to create intuitive, elegant, and effective user experiences that leverage AI to drive business growth and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership

  • Execute and communicate on the 3-year vision and extend that vision beyond 2028 for the overarching UI/UX vision and strategy aligned with company objectives and product roadmap
  • Partner with executive leadership, product management, engineering, and marketing to ensure design excellence is embedded throughout the organization
  • Drive design innovation and champion best‑in‑class practices that reinforce Eptura’s position as a leader in user experience
  • Build and champion a user-centered design culture across the organization
  • Manage and enhance the UI/UX budget, resources, and tools


Team Leadership & Development


  • Lead and mentor a high-performing team of UX/UI designers and recruit and retain top design talent to support business growth
  • Work with leaders across the company to ensure functional alignment, motivation and on-time delivery of functionality
  • Advance the craft of design and UI/UX through continuous coaching and inclusion of AI functionality
  • Establish clear career paths, provide ongoing coaching, and foster professional development opportunities
  • Create an inclusive, collaborative environment that encourages creativity, experimentation, and continuous learning


Design Process & Execution


  • Establish and evolve design systems, patterns, and guidelines that ensure consistency and efficiency across all products
  • Champion user research and data-driven design decisions through qualitative and quantitative methods
  • Oversee the end-to-end design process from concept through implementation, ensuring quality and timely delivery
  • Lead design reviews and provide constructive feedback to elevate design quality
  • Balance user needs, business goals, and technical constraints to deliver optimal solutions


Cross-functional Collaboration


  • Partner closely with Product Management to influence product strategy and roadmap prioritization, collaborate with Engineering to ensure design feasibility and high-quality implementation and with Marketing to ensure brand consistency and compelling go-to-market positioning
  • Present design strategies and recommendations to executive leadership and stakeholders
  • Evangelize the value of design throughout the organization


Metrics & Excellence


  • Define and track key UX metrics and KPIs to measure design impact and user satisfaction
  • Conduct competitive analysis and stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies
  • Implement processes for continuous improvement based on user feedback and data insights
  • Ensure accessibility standards are met across all products

About You


Experience


  • 12+ years of experience in UI/UX design with at least 5 years in senior leadership roles
  • Proven track record of leading design teams to deliver successful B2B or enterprise software products
  • Experience managing and scaling design teams of across multiple products or platforms
  • Portfolio demonstrating exceptional design thinking, problem-solving, and successful product outcomes
  • Experience working in agile development environments

Skills & Competencies


  • Deep expertise in user-centered design methodologies, design thinking, and research methods
  • Strong proficiency in Figma and AI systems 
  • Expert knowledge of design systems, accessibility standards, and responsive design principles
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills with ability to influence at all organizational levels
  • Strategic thinking with ability to balance long-term vision with short-term execution
  • Strong analytical skills with experience interpreting user data and making data-informed decisions
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment

Education


  • Bachelor's degree in Design, UI/UX, HCI, Computer Science, or related field required
