We are seeking an accomplished Director of Food & Beverage to lead and elevate our entire F&B operation. This role is pivotal in driving profitability, innovation, service excellence, and talent development, while upholding Kempinski standards and embracing local authenticity.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all Food & Beverage outlets, ensuring profitability, exceptional guest experiences, and innovative menu engineering.
- Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of all hotel services and products.
- Maintain Kempinski brand standards while fostering local relevance and creativity.
- Lead, mentor, and inspire a high-performing team, cultivating a culture of excellence, passion, and accountability.
- Ensure all departmental operating manuals are prepared, reviewed, and updated annually.
- Source the highest-quality products, continuously improving standards and effectively communicating product knowledge internally and externally.
- Support and implement Talent Development initiatives across the department.
- Take full responsibility for the performance and quality of work of Outlet Managers and Supervisors.
- Ensure Outlet Managers and Supervisors plan and execute effective, outlet-specific training programs.
- Prepare and consolidate the annual departmental budget and ensure cost control and financial targets are met.
- Stay ahead of global culinary and hospitality trends to keep concepts fresh, competitive, and innovative.
- Handle guest complaints promptly, professionally, and courteously, ensuring swift resolution.
- Collaborate closely with the Kitchen Department to develop unique concepts, menus, and guest experiences.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a Food & Beverage management role within the hotel industry.
- Strong understanding of luxury service standards, quality management, and global culinary trends.
- People-oriented leader with a collaborative, team-player mindset.
- Charismatic leadership style with the ability to inspire and motivate teams.
- Excellent communication skills, leading by example with impact and integrity.
- Ability to work independently, thrive under pressure, and deliver proactive, practical solutions in challenging situations.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to effectively delegate and prioritize tasks.
- High sense of responsibility and attention to detail.
- Solid computer literacy. • Fluency in English and Hungarian.
- Valid local work permit or EU citizenship.
