What you will be doing:

Responsible for maintaining the internal and external facility physical assets of the property.

• Support the manufacturing process and the facility by maintaining or repairing equipment.
• Complete preventive maintenance and planned maintenance projects in a timely and safe manner.
• Participate in improvement events.
• Keep machine and facility records up to date.
• Recommend improvements to existing processes.
• Maintain working order of necessary repair equipment and tools.
• Perform any other related duties as required or assigned.

Skills Knowledge and Expertise


What you need:

• Experience with maintenance equipment to include fork lift, snow clearing equipment, welding and machine shop equipment.
• Troubleshooting electrical and mechanical issues
• Hands-on experience with inspection tools, test equipment, and hand tools.
• Able to communicate effectively both orally and written with co-workers, other departments and outside vendors.
 
Education and Experience

• Equivalent of four years of high school (required).
• Completion of trade school or equivalent completing certificate in facilities maintenance (required).
• Three to four years of experience in manufacturing and facility support maintenance.
 
 Computer Skills

• Basic: Computer, electronic mail and utilization of the internet for research purposes.
 
 Certificates and Licenses

• None.

• While performing the functions of this job, the employee is:
o Regularly required to sit, talk, or hear.
o Frequently required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and to reach with hands and arms.
o Occasionally required to stand, walk, climb, or balance.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision.
• The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
