About the role
We’re looking for someone to join us an Application Support Lead. The key responsibilities of this role will be to manage and lead the team of Application Support Analyst, providing specialist and technical support to system applications utilised by the Nursing and Midwifery Council.
You will be responsible for providing swift and effective resolution of issues, with minimal to no impact to business activities. You will work alongside the rest of the IT team and wider business, to build and maintain strong relationship and leadership in order to improve products and service level.

About You
We’re looking for a highly skilled individual, with the following attributes and experiences:
- The ability to lead, develop and train a high performing team, setting clear objectives which meet overall business needs.
- Ensure the team provide effective resolution of incidents, problems and changes and work collaboratively with other teams to effectively resolve issues and ensure application meet business requirements and compliance standards.
- Effectively investigate recurring problems, perform analysis, and collaborate with development or vendor teams to implement fixes.
- Oversee and support applications upgrades, patching and configuration changes are fully understood, tested and that the team has the service transition activity required in order to support the upgrades or changes delivered. Also, ensure minimal disruption to business operations.
