The Corporate Tax Director will lead the expansion of the firm’s large corporate and international tax offering in Manchester. This is an exciting opportunity to help shape a strategic offering within a leading accounting practice, driving market growth and delivering exceptional client service.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Development:
  • Development of a new dedicated service offering for large corporate and international clients in the Manchester office. 
  • Identify market opportunities and develop go-to-market strategies to attract high-value clients.
Client Advisory:
  • Provide expert advice on corporate tax planning, compliance, and risk management for international and large corporate groups.
  • Work closely with existing firm technical specialists e.g. transfer pricing, global mobility and customs. 
Business Development:
  • Drive growth through networking, thought leadership, and relationship management with key stakeholders.
  • Represent the firm at industry events and contribute to publications on corporate tax developments.
Technical Excellence:
  • Ensure technical excellence within a fast-moving international tax landscape. 
  • Interact and build relationships with member firms of the HLB global network to provide joined up cross-border tax advice. 
Leadership & Team Building:
  • Build and mentor a high-performing team to support the new service offering in the Manchester office
  • Collaborate with Partners and Directors across service lines to deliver integrated solutions

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise

  • ACA/CTA qualified (or equivalent) with significant post-qualification experience in corporate tax.
    Proven track record advising large and international corporate clients within a professional services environment. 
  • Strong technical knowledge of UK corporate tax and international tax principles. 
  • Demonstrated ability to develop new service offerings and lead business development initiatives. 
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Collaborates as a team player and capable of developing strong working relationships with clients and colleagues. 
  • Inspires confidence in others. Communicates effectively both in writing and verbally, leveraging support from more senior colleagues when needed
