Job Overview

We are looking for a Marketing Administrator to join our growing team at Thompsons. Our in-house marketing team plays a key role in making sure our values, campaigns, and client stories are shared widely and powerfully. We work closely with colleagues across the firm to promote our specialist legal services and highlight the real-world impact of our work. Key Responsibilities

This role is responsible for supporting the smooth delivery of the firm’s marketing and communications activity by coordinating daily workflows, managing key administrative processes, and ensuring accurate and timely handling of content, data, and requests. The role provides essential support across campaigns, PR, events, mailings, and content production, helping maintain operational efficiency and enabling the wider marketing team to deliver high-quality outputs.

Day-today responsibilities may include:
  • Manage the day-to-day activity within the marketing inbox, coordinating internal and external requests with team members and colleagues across the firm.

  • Carry out regular data cleansing to maintain high-quality and reliable marketing records.
  • Manage the ordering of promotional items and branded materials.
  • Coordinate print requests in collaboration with the Content Assistant, ensuring brand consistency and accuracy.
  • Work with the Communications Manager to identify and manage day-to-day PR opportunities, using a triage process to escalate high-value opportunities to our external PR consultant and coordinating content for lower-tier opportunities.
  • Support the recycling and localisation of content across regions to maximise visibility and relevance.
  • Coordinate award submissions, ensuring deadlines and requirements are met.
  • Support the development and delivery of marketing campaigns across the firm.
  • Assist with coordinating content for adverts, sponsorships, and associated promotional activity.
  • Support the Events Manager in the planning, preparation, and delivery of event-related content.
  • Provide general support to the wider marketing team with day-to-day activities as required.
  • Provide cover for the Content Assistant during periods of absence.
