About the Job
Key responsibilities include:
- Operations management – oversee day-to-day activities of workshop, develop and maintain efficient repair workflows to ensure timely completion of tasks
- Team leadership – recruit, train, supervise repair technicians, set performance standards and resource allocation
- Technical expertise – Subject matter expert to provide advanced technical support, troubleshoot and liaison across functional teams and customers
- Repair oversight - Monitor diagnostics, repairs and testing of equipment, ensuring adherence to SOPs and technical standards
- Work health safety – Adhere to safety regulations and protocols for all repair and maintenance activities, keep up to date on safety best practices
- Reporting – Oversee inventory of spare parts and supplies, job reports and track key metrics to analyse performance on repairs and maintenance activities
- Continuous improvement – Drive continuous improvement initiatives for repair methods and team efficiency
About You
- 8-12 years’ experience in a workshop environment, familiarity with industry-specific equipment and software is of significant interest
- High level knowledge of diagnostic tools and relevant equipment
- Proficient understanding of electro-mechanical systems and computing environments
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to safety and quality
- Excellent communication skills and a mature work ethic
- Some experience supervising or leading a small team is desirable
