We are seeking a Network Engineer to support our ongoing business growth. In this role, you will design, implement, and maintain network infrastructure across multiple locations. You will ensure all solutions are secure, scalable, reliable, and aligned with both business and client requirements. The position involves regular travel to client and company sites, providing on‑site technical expertise and building strong relationships with key stakeholders.
Working pattern: Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week. There is a minimum of 3 days in the office per week with regular travel to our sites across the UK.

Key Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain LAN, WAN, and wireless network infrastructure across multiple sites.
- Travel to client and company locations to deliver network deployments, perform upgrades, and resolve technical issues (up to 70% travel required).
- Conduct site surveys and perform thorough network assessments to support design and improvement efforts.
- Monitor network performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement optimisation measures.
- Respond promptly to network outages and incidents, providing on‑site support where needed.
- Create and maintain accurate network documentation, including topology diagrams and configuration records.
- Collaborate closely with project managers, vendors, and clients to ensure successful delivery of network solutions.
- Adhere to and promote security standards, policies, and best practices.
- Provide guidance, support, and training to local IT teams.
- Participate in the on‑call rotation to support critical network operations.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
Essential
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP, routing, switching, and wireless technologies
- Hands‑on experience with Cisco, Juniper, or comparable network hardware
- Ability to travel frequently and work independently across remote sites
- Excellent troubleshooting and analytical problem‑solving abilities
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience using network monitoring and management tools
- Full, clean UK driving licence
- Business insurance for use of a personal vehicle when travelling to sites
Desirable
- Relevant industry certifications (e.g., CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent)
- Knowledge of network security principles and best practices
- Familiarity with project management methodologies
