As an Event Specialist, you will play a crucial role in the success of our events by overseeing all aspects from inception to execution. This includes a range of responsibilities such as coordinating logistics, liaising with vendors, managing budgets, and ensuring that each event aligns with our organizational goals and brand identity.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, coordinate, and execute a variety of events from start to finish.
- Develop and manage event budgets, ensuring all expenses are within limits.
- Source and negotiate with vendors, venues, and suppliers to secure best rates.
- Collaborate with marketing teams to promote events and drive attendance.
- Set up event spaces and manage logistics including audiovisual needs and catering.
- Oversee on-site execution of events, ensuring all elements run smoothly.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- Bachelor's degree in Event Management, Hospitality, Marketing, or a related field.
- Proven experience in event planning and execution, with a portfolio of successful events.
- Strong negotiation skills and experience in vendor management.
- Exceptional organizational, multitasking, and time management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work with diverse teams and clients.
- Ability to work under pressure and handle unforeseen issues during events.
- Proficiency in event management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
