Provide design, engineering, and analysis support to other engineers and designers in the development and maintenance of orthopedic implants and instruments.
Key Responsibilities
- Primary:
- Apply engineering acumen to evaluate impact of revisions to technical standards on medical device compliance.
- Create impact assessments for revised technical standards
- Lead and coordinate the assignment of work to cross-functional team
- Devise and implement process improvements
- Provide monthly updates to executive leadership
- Secondary:
- Assist the Engineering Test Lab in carrying out product development research and testing
- Research and develop test methods for medical devices
- Design and fabricate test fixtures
- Perform testing
Skills, Knowledge and Experience
Education:
- Current enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree in engineering
Experience:
- Computer aided design software
- Motivated to take initiative and work effectively in teams
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
