What You’ll Do
As a Legal & Risk Intern, you will work closely with professionals across legal and risk management teams, providing support and gaining hands-on experience in essential areas. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Contribute to Real Projects: Assist with the review of legal documents, draft key legal documents like pleadings, motions, discovery responses, and more.
- Collaborate Across Teams: Work with contracts, litigation, and risk teams to support various legal functions and projects.
- Conduct Legal Research: Perform research on legal issues, case law, and regulatory requirements to support ongoing litigation, risk management, and contract oversight.
- Assist with Risk Assessments: Help analyze and manage potential risks and ensure compliance with company policies and regulations.
- Support Case Management: Track case progress, manage case files, and report on legal developments and financial spends.
- Administrative Support: Organize legal documents, manage calendars, and maintain our legal management systems and documentation.
What You Bring to the Table
Background Requirements:
- Must be 21+ at the time of the internship.
- Availability to work for the full 8-week internship program.
- Professional verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and a professional demeanor.
Education:
- Currently enrolled in an accredited law, business, or related program.
Experience & Skills:
- Basic legal knowledge and interest in risk management.
- Previous administrative support or legal internship experience is a plus.
