The Driver Transport is responsible for safely and efficiently transporting guests, team members, and goods to and from designated locations as required by HAP operations. This role involves adhering to company policies, maintaining vehicle safety, and providing excellent customer service. The Driver Transport will work closely with operations, guest services, and logistics teams to ensure timely and secure transportation. The ideal candidate will have a valid driver’s license, a clean driving record, and strong interpersonal skills.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Safely operate company vehicles to transport guests, team members, and cargo 
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report any issues 
  • Ensure compliance with all company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements 
  • Provide courteous and professional service to guests and team members 
  • Maintain accurate records of trips, mileage, and vehicle maintenance
  • Assist with loading and unloading luggage or goods as needed

REQUIREMENTS

  • Previous experience in a professional driving or transport role
  • Familiarity with local routes and destinations
  • Experience in customer service or guest-facing roles
  • Knowledge of vehicle safety and maintenance procedures
  • Valid driver’s license appropriate for vehicle type
  • Clean driving record
  • Ability to pass company background and drug screening
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Must pass a pre-employment background check. 
  • Minimum age of 18 years is required to reside in company housing, where available.
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States. Holland America-Princess is unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of employment visas at this time (e.g., H-2B status).
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES
  • Responsible for transportation services across HAP locations, supporting both shore and fleet operations as needed.
  • Must quickly address and resolve transportation delays, vehicle issues, and guest concerns while maintaining safety and compliance.
  • Directly influences guest satisfaction, operational efficiency, and safety standards within the transportation discipline.
  • May provide guidance to junior drivers or assist in training new team members; responsible for own vehicle and passengers.
