If the answer is YES, then we are looking for you.  We are hiring Business Development personnel to grow our Logistics, Environmental and Culinary services & capabilities in Houston.  Successful candidate will attract new clients and will nourishing & building stronger relationships with existing clients in the Texas and Gulf Coast Region.

Key Responsibilities

  • Research competitors, market activity, and project pipelines within utilities, EPC, and data center sectors
  • Prospect and expand target accounts including utilities, contractors, developers, and facility leaders
  • Build strong relationships with decision-makers and secure virtual and on-site meetings
  • Align Cotton’s restoration, logistics, and construction solutions with client operational and emergency needs
  • Generate leads through cold calling, networking, site visits, and industry events
  • Track outages, expansions, and capital projects to proactively position Cotton for opportunities
  • Partner with internal teams to drive proposals, close deals, and grow revenue
  • Represent Cotton professionally and maintain strong, long-term client relationships
  • Utilize CRM and marketing tools to manage pipeline and increase results


What You Bring to the Table

  • 7+ years of proven business development and account management experience in utilities, power, energy, or industrial services environments
  • Experience selling field services such as storm response, infrastructure support, environmental remediation, workforce housing, logistics, or emergency restoration preferred
  • Established relationships with electric utilities, co-ops, municipalities, EPCs, or plant/facility leadership
  • Experienced in cold calling, territory prospecting, and building pipeline from scratch
  • Ability to respond quickly to emergency events and operate in fast-paced, on-call environments
  • Strong customer service, relationship-building, and negotiation skills with operations and procurement stakeholders
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail
  • Strong work ethic, resilience, grit, and hunter mentality
  • Proficient with MS Office, ERP, and CRM systems

Other Requirements:  
  • Ability to travel, both domestically and internationally as business need requires 
  • Ability to communicate effectively face to face, telephone and via video telecommunications 
  • Must be able to drive a vehicle and provide a good driving record  
  • Strong presentation and negotiation skills
