The position is responsible for working in conjunction with the maintenance vision and collaborating with the maintenance team on all maintenance activities at the branch. Overtime, extended shifts, or Saturday work may be required.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform machine repairs within the work order and preventive maintenance systems
- Locate machine parts and components within the maintenance inventory system
- Assist in troubleshooting in all areas of manufacturing
- Participate in completion of daily, weekly, and other scheduled maintenance tasks or preventative maintenance
- Replace minor machine parts or components
- Replace minor electrical machine components
- Perform basic alignment and calibrations
- Follow all safety guidelines and standard operating procedures
- Inform appropriate employees of potential electrical/mechanical problems and inherent dangers involved
- Work within filing systems including work requests, catalogs, drawings and technical manuals
- Maintain company-required machine and equipment records
- Participate in facility housekeeping and remain alert to potential hazardous conditions and situations
- Perform other duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Strong technical aptitude
- Understanding and knowledge of common hand and power tools
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills
- Strong time management skills required
- Knowledge of PLC-based machinery, including HMI navigation, system diagnostics, and automation controls a plus
- Must be able to work well individually and in a team environment
