The Data Quality Engineer is responsible for delivering a critical data cleanup and improvement project over a 3–6 month period. The role will involve reviewing, cleansing, and validating high volumes of data to ensure consistency, reliability, and alignment across our systems. This position plays a vital role in strengthening the quality and trustworthiness of our core data during an important transformation phase. 

This opportunity would suit a proactive and self-motivated individual who can quickly build an understanding of our internal systems and processes and contribute from day one. You’ll enjoy detailed, methodical work and take pride in achieving high levels of precision while managing high-volume administrative tasks. A structured mindset, strong attention to detail and a genuine commitment to data quality will be essential for success in this role. 

What that means day to day

  • Data Verification: Reviewing large volumes of existing data records against verified sources to ensure accuracy.
  • Data Cleansing: Identifying and correcting errors, duplicates, and inconsistencies within our CRM and Excel records.
  • Process Adherence: Strictly following the established data cleanup Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure uniformity.
  • Progress Reporting: Tracking output against the project goal and flagging any systemic issues or anomalies to the Head of Central Operations & Planning.
  • Compliance: Handling sensitive information in accordance with UK GDPR and internal data protection policies.
  • Flexibility: Undertake additional tasks that are reasonably required for the delivery of the role.

What you’ll need to be successful

 Essential: 
  • Focus & Resilience: The ability to maintain concentration and accuracy throughout the process.
  • Initiative: The ability to learn the existing process and refine this process overtime to ensure consistency and identify opportunities to improve the process
  • Communication: A strong communicator enabling clear and concise project updates.
  • Attention to Detail: An eye for spotting typos, formatting errors, and missing fields.
  • IT Literacy: Proficient in Microsoft Excel (filtering, sorting, and basic formulas are essential) and comfortable learning new software interfaces.
  • Reliability: Works in line with expectations and meets reasonable deadlines to achieve key milestones.
  • Values: Conducts their work in line with our company values
  Desirable 
  • Previous experience in data entry or administrative processing.
  • Previous experience of Microsoft Dynamics
  • Knowledge of the ISO certification industry
