Why does this role exist?
 This role ensures the smooth, cost-effective flow of goods across multiple divisions and warehouses by managing FOB and POE orders from routing through receiving and coordinating all domestic shipments. It secures competitive carrier rates, maintains accurate costing and ERP records, and serves as the backup for import operations. Ultimately, it supports the Director of Operations to drive operational efficiency, on-time delivery, and data accuracy.

The Impact you’ll make

Order Routing and Shipment Coordination
  • Manage end-to-end routing and receiving of FOB and POE orders
  • Coordinate all domestic shipments across multiple divisions and warehouses
  • Schedule pickups/deliveries, track in-transit orders, and resolve exceptions with carriers and 3PLs

Carrier Management and Rate Quoting
  • Source and quote with multiple trucking companies to secure best rates and service levels
  • Build and maintain a carrier rate matrix and preferred carrier list
  • Monitor carrier performance (on-time, damage claims, responsiveness) and escalate issues

Costing, Billing, and ERP Accuracy
  • Enter and reconcile freight bills; validate charges against quotes and agreements
  • Maintain accurate shipment, costing, and routing data in AMT (ERP)
  • Prepare shipment documentation, PODs, and audit files for finance

Import Support and Compliance
  • Serve as backup to the Import Manager for overseas shipments
  • Track inbound containers/airfreight and collaborate with customs brokers and freight forwarders
  • Help ensure compliance and document readiness (commercial invoices, packing lists, arrival notices)

Stakeholder Communication and Process Improvement
  • Provide timely status updates to the Director of Operations, warehouses, and internal teams
  • Produce basic reports on costs, transit times, and exceptions; recommend improvements
  • Uphold SLAs and contribute to SOPs that enhance speed-to-floor and data integrity

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

Required:
  • 2+ years as an Operations/Logistics/Supply Chain Coordinator (hard requirement)
  • Proven ability to route, ship, and bill POE and FOB orders end-to-end
  • Hands-on domestic freight coordination with multi-carrier rate quoting and scheduling
  • Costing experience, including entering and reconciling freight bills
  • ERP proficiency (AMT preferred) and Outlook; strong Excel/Sheets skills
  • WFH Set-Up:
    • Computer with at least 8GB RAM, an Intel i5 core processor/AMD Ryzen 5 Processor and up.
    • Internet speed of at least 40MBPS
    • Headset with an extended mic that has noise cancellation and a webcam
    • Back-up computer and internet connection
    • Quiet, dedicated workspace at home

  • Remote position

Working Hours:
  • 40 hours per week
  • Monday to Friday 8:30am - 5:30pm EST
Compensation:
  • $7 per hour
