Trading Technologies (TT) is scaling its next-generation Compliance platform — a modern, data-driven trade surveillance system used by financial institutions to detect market abuse and satisfy regulatory requirements. Our Prague-based engineering team will play a key role in delivering a fully modernised platform — focused on usability, speed, and real-time decision-making for compliance professionals.
We are looking for a high-potential Java Developer to help build the next generation of our surveillance tools. This is a "learn-by-doing" role where you will be paired with senior mentors to work on massive datasets. You will help maintain our data ingestion pipelines and gain hands-on experience with the latest cloud and AI technologies.
What Will You Be Involved With?
- Feature Development: Develop and test Java-based backend services for data ingestion and alerting.
- Data Maintenance: Write and optimize queries in Snowflake to ensure data integrity for our surveillance reports.
- Cloud Operations: Learn to deploy and monitor services using AWS tools and CI/CD pipelines.
- Support: Participate in code reviews and assist with L2 production support to understand system behavior.
What Will You Bring to the Table?
- Java Foundation: 3–5 years of experience with Java and a solid understanding of Object-Oriented Programming.
- Database Knowledge: Strong SQL skills and an eagerness to learn Snowflake and NoSQL (DynamoDB).
- Analytical Mindset: A passion for working with "Big Data" and a desire to learn how AI is applied to financial compliance.
- Education: A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Proactive Attitude: A "student of the game" mentality—ready to dive into complex documentation and ask the right questions.
- Experience in financial services, trading systems, or market surveillance, with an understanding of regulatory compliance requirements (MiFID II, Dodd-Frank, MAR).
