Job Overview

A Bookkeeper/Accounting Assistant maintains accurate financial records, processes transactions, and ensures BIR/regulatory compliance. Key duties include managing accounts payable/receivable, bank reconciliation, payroll, and preparing financial statements. Proficiency in tools like QuickBooks, Xero, Excel, and strong attention to detail are required. 

Key Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities
  • Record daily financial transactions (invoices, payroll, and reimbursements). 
  • Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts and bank statements.
  • Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions accurately and on time.
  • Assist with payroll processing. 
  • Assist with the preparation and maintenance of financial records and reports.
  • Support the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
  • Maintain organized and up-to-date financial records in accounting software. 
  • Perform general administrative duties to support the finance department.
  •  Ensure that all necessary legal documents are prepared, reviewed, and executed 

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • Proven experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or finance support roles.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, SAP) and MS Excel.
  • Knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger processes.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial information.
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills.
  • Effective communication skills for collaborating with team members and management.
