We’re looking for a Senior Residential Support Worker to join our dedicated team in Preston.

About The Role

Pear Tree Cottage is a two bedroom home (which often offers solo placements), ensuring a small, calm and therapeutic environment for looked after children between the ages of 6 and 18.

As part of our highly valued team, you will: 
  • Provide high-quality care and emotional support to children in a safe, nurturing space
  • Help shape brighter futures through consistency, compassion, and resilience
  • Support the home manager with the smooth running of the home, taking responsibility and providing supervisory support to the home's care workers

 

What We Need From You

  • A minimum of 12 months experience in Children's Residential Care
  • A Level 3 Diploma (or above) in Residential Childcare (or close to completion)
  • A full UK driving licence – essential for transporting young people and attending external meetings
  • A calm, resilient, and compassionate approach to care
  • A thorough knowledge of the legislation and regulations surround children's care
  • Be able to work shift patterns including sleep ins (Rota plan given in advance but likely to be 2 on 4 off)
