Freeda offers a range of services for women and their children suffering from domestic abuse which includes the provision of a 24/7 helpline and safe house as well as the running of an Outreach service and Child & Young People services.
The purpose of this role is to support, empower and safeguard female survivors of domestic abuse and their children by offering them advice, guidance and emotional support. This role provides flexible rota cover, with a particular focus on evening (night shift) and weekend (day and night shift) working to ensure continuity of support during out-of-hours periods.

Key Responsibilities
Residential & Outreach Support
- Provide support in one-to-one meetings or over the phone on the emergency 24/7 helpline
- Liaise and work in partnership with other agencies (e.g. Police, Education, IDVA, GPs, Health Visitors, Social Services etc.)
- Complete and review risk and needs assessments and create safety and support plans for clients
Administration
- Maintain accurate, confidential and up to date client records on our databases and systems
- Comply with data protection legislation, confidentiality and policies and procedures
- Participate in the induction of new staff and volunteers
- Ensure the safe house is only accessed by authorised individuals
Skills Knowledge and Expertise
QUALIFICATIONS AND TRAINING | ESSENTIAL / DESIRABLE
1. | 5 'O' Levels/GCSE's, including Maths and English | Essential
2. | Adult and Children Safeguarding training (SPB – foundation level at minimum) | Essential
3. | Qualification or training in supporting survivors of domestic abuse | Desirable
