 An exciting opportunity has become available for a Technical Operator to join our collaborative team in Andover on a double days working pattern. One week you will work 6am to 2pm and the next 2pm to 10pm. The Technical Operator is responsible for Maintaining technical machinery and equipment in the assigned area in accordance with the applicable standards. The role ensures compliance with quality, safety and technical standards, while contributing to efficient and continuous production operations

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain continuity of production processes and improve efficiency by reducing causes of quality losses, as well as losses from unplanned and minor stoppages.
  • Act as a first point of call for machine breakdowns
  • Conduct training to operators when required  
  • Collaborate with the Quality Assurance to ensure top-quality product delivery.
  • Work with the Engineering Support Department to develop inspection and maintenance schedules.
  • Analyse causes of breakdowns and implement preventive actions.
  • Monitor spare parts inventory and contribute to operating/maintenance manuals.
  • Keep accurate records of production parameters through reporting.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organised workstation.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

  • Be able to work a rotating double day shift pattern.
  • At least 1 year of practical experience in repair and maintenance of machines and equipment.
  • Technical or engineering education (i.e. C&G/NVQ).
  • Computer literacy (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Effective communication with colleagues and departments.
  • Capability to train and coach others.
