  • Conduct heuristic evaluations and provide recommendations based on best practices and past experience.
  • Review and analyze competitor sites to determine best practices and incorporate related patterns and findings into site recommendations.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to incorporate insights from strategy, SEO, and development teams to create a holistic recommendation.

Translate business needs into functional requirements and new site or feature designs.
  • Create wireframes, flow diagrams, sitemaps, and high-fidelity prototypes that illustrate how requirements translate into new mobile and desktop experiences.
  • Present recommendations and conduct working sessions to review design concepts and documentation with clients and incorporate their feedback.
  • Work with junior UX designers to assign and mentor their work.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

  • You know what makes a user experience work, and can show examples from your portfolio of how you’ve balanced usability with conversion optimization.
  • You have examples of wireframes and prototypes you’ve completed for mobile and desktop experiences, and you are a pro at working with Figma.
  • You have a working knowledge of how website development works to be able to make informed recommendations on what’s easy or difficult to develop.
  • You have 3 – 5+ years of professional working experience as a UX specialist at an agency.
  • Comfortable working within tight timelines and juggling multiple clients in different industries.
