The Senior Consultant plays a crucial role in supporting the development, management, and reporting of sustainability programs across various sectors. This role involves providing data analytics, calculations, and consultancy services, aimed at underpinning clients’ sustainability goals and objectives. The consultant will collaborate with cross-functional teams and global sustainability experts to deliver major projects and innovate solutions encompassing life cycle assessments, sustainable packaging, and waste recovery, depending on the project requirements. The consultant is responsible for performing detailed calculations, interpreting data, and developing reports that communicate environmental, social, and economic sustainability metrics. Senior Consultants are expected to manage projects, mentor junior consultants, and ensure continuous learning while staying updated on industry trends and regulations.
This is a delivery and project management position that requires collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, including global Anthesis sustainability experts and technical consultants, to support major project delivery and innovate new solutions for clients’ sustainability journeys. It engages in technical research, quality assurance, and contributes to proposal writing, ensuring best practices are followed while managing multiple projects with minimal supervision. Continuous learning and professional development are integral to this role, as the senior consultant stays updated on global EPR regulatory landscape, industry trends and methodologies to drive a circular economy and integrate Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) priorities into business strategies.

Key Responsibilities
Lead CVCT-related Projects:
- Lead and manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring alignment with client goals and timely delivery.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring efficient resource management and project supervision.
Data Analysis and Interpretation:
- Perform comprehensive assessments and calculations related to environmental impacts, including but not limited to, material flows, greenhouse gas emissions, waste footprints, and compliance metrics.
- Develop and maintain dashboards and reporting tools that automate data collection and enhance communication with stakeholders. (as needed)
- Conduct in-depth analysis and interpretation of complex data sets, providing actionable insights to stakeholders.
Stakeholder Management:
- Convey complex findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders clearly and effectively.
- Attend client meetings to facilitate project delivery ensuring that client needs are met and expectations met or exceeded.
Mentorship and Development:
- Foster collaboration within the team and across departments to encourage knowledge sharing and teamwork.
- Mentor and provide guidance to junior consultants, sharing your knowledge and expertise to help them grow in their roles.
- Manage resources and provide skill-sharing and training programs, where required, to promote an inclusive environment for all team members.
Quality Assurance & Innovation:
- Ensure best practices are followed in quality assurance to maintain high standards in all project deliverables.
- Establish future-proof processes and identify opportunities to expand digital offerings, contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
- Participate in business development activities, including proposal writing in collaboration with the existing team.
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
- BA/BSc. degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Mathematics, Engineering, Science, Economics, or related field
- Ideally 3-5 years of experience in the areas of product stewardship or extended producer responsibility.
- Advanced competency in Microsoft Excel is required; experience in using other analytics software and visualization tools will be beneficial.
- Solid skills in navigating and maximizing Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- With 2+ years of relevant experience in the environmental sustainability sphere, covering topics such as life cycle assessments and circularity, optional but is an advantage.
- Experience with Alteryx, PowerBI or Tableau experience is an advantage
- Experience in supporting supplier audits, environmental programs, and supplier capacity development is an advantage. Strong consulting, communicating, critical thinking, problem solving and analytical skills, able to work independently and within a team
- Strong time management and organisational skills with clarity on need for prioritisation
