We are looking for a Company Nurse to join VSS and play a crucial role in ensuring the health and well-being of our employees. The primary responsibility of this role is to provide immediate medical care, preventive health services, and health education programs. You will work closely with the HR team and management to promote a healthy and safe working environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide first aid, conduct initial evaluations, and administer emergency medical treatment to employees experiencing work-related injuries or illnesses.
- Conduct regular health assessments, screenings, and health checks to monitor employee well-being and identify potential health risks.
- Administer medications, dress wounds, and provide treatment for minor illnesses or injuries. Refer employees to appropriate healthcare providers or facilities when necessary.
- Develop and implement health promotion programs, including wellness initiatives, health campaigns, and educational seminars on topics such as nutrition, stress management, and disease prevention.
- Maintain accurate and confidential medical records, including documentation of treatments, incidents, and follow-up care.
- Coordinate with HR and management to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, provide guidance on health-related policies, and participate in safety committees.
- Conduct regular first aid training sessions for designated employees to promote a knowledgeable and responsive workplace in handling medical emergencies.
- Manage inventory and ensure the availability of medical supplies and equipment required for first aid and medical emergencies.
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
- Bachelor's degree in nursing; valid nursing license and registration.
- Proven experience as a nurse, preferably in an occupational health or corporate setting.
- Knowledge of occupational health and safety practices and regulations.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to remain calm and make quick decisions in emergency situations.
- Proficiency in basic computer skills for record-keeping purposes. Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and First Aid.
