The Electrician will carry out electrical installation, repair and maintenance works and will ensure these works are carried out to a high standard in an efficient commercial and customer focused manner.
The Energy Solutions section is a commercial offering operating in a competitive market place and also provides 24 hours emergency cover to the core business and customers.
Key Responsibilities
- The installation, maintenance, test and repair of electrical systems in industrial, commercial and domestic premises.
- The installation, maintenance and repair of electric heating and control solutions.
- To test new and existing installations and produce test certification as required by the IET and NICEIC.
- To plan works and carry out in an efficient manner.
- To promote the company and all its service offerings and provide customer with advice on the systems installed and how to operate in an efficient way.
- To ensure the standard of workmanship meets statutory requirements.
- To assist in the supervision and effective training of apprentices.
- To undertake out-of-hours emergency call-out duties as required.
- Be aware of and comply with local legislation, specifically related to Health & Safety, Equal Opportunities and Data Protection.
- Such other duties as may be allocated and interchange of duties as required.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- Completed a formal apprenticeship or equivalent
- Qualified to a minimum of CG level 3 in Electrical Installations or equivalent
- A suitable qualification in energy advice
- A suitable qualification in customer services
- A sound working knowledge of current IET Regulations
- Hold a current category “B” driving licence
