Laundry Aide

Key Responsibilities

• Collect soiled laundry from resident rooms and designated collection points
• Operate washers, dryers, and other laundry equipment safely and efficiently
• Sort, fold, and distribute clean linens and clothing to appropriate locations
• Label resident clothing and ensure personal items are returned to the correct resident
• Follow infection control and safety procedures at all times
• Maintain a clean and organized laundry area

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Previous laundry or housekeeping experience in a healthcare setting is a plus
• Ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 40 lbs, and perform repetitive tasks
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Compassionate attitude and ability to work well with elderly residents
• Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions
