Waggoner Engineering, Inc. is hiring a Construction Representative II for north Louisiana. The primary objective of the role is to ensure that quality construction projects are built per plans and specifications. The role will receive a company vehicle and housing for the duration of the project.

Your Primary Responsibilities will include
- Monitors Construction Projects with a well-defined scope
- Works closely with Lead Construction Representative to deliver our scope of services to the client throughout the construction phase of projects from project kickoff through project closeout
- Coordinates with clients, contractors, and client personnel to help deliver our scope of services to the client.
- Monitor work conducted by outside parties and their contractors for conformance with LaDOTD Standard Specifications for Road and Bridge Construction.
- Works closely with the Lead Construction Representative if modifications to the construction plans are required.
- Coordinates with utility companies which have facilities on project site.
- Attend and participate in project status meetings with the Contractor.
- Prepares daily construction reports which accurately describe daily project activities, including pay item quantities and project progress.
- Prepares project documentation including record drawings.
- Review monthly pay requests.
- Assist in project close-out documentation.
Preferred Skills:
- LaDOTD Traffic Control Supervisor (TCS) certificate preferred
- LaDOTD Traffic Control Technician (TCT) certificate preferred
- MDOT Construction Storm Water Management certificate preferred
- ACI Concrete Field Technician-Grade 1 preferred
- OSHA 10 certification preferred
Competencies:
- Ability to understand plans and specifications
- Familiarity of MDOT publications including the Standard Specifications for Road and Bridge Construction, Construction Manual, and Inspector Checklists
- Experience providing inspection of road and/or bridge construction project
- Knowledgeable of Construction Materials testing procedures
- Solid communication skills and work ethic
- Excellent organizational and documentation skills
- The ability to work with limited supervision
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft (MS) Office Suite
What you'll need
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Technical degree/diploma/certificate or equivalent in related field; or equivalent combination of education and construction experience
- Minimum of 5 years of experience
- Valid driver’s license
Preferred Education or Experience:
- Associate degree
- 6+ years of related experience
