Job Overview

We are seeking Medical Virtual Assistants (VAs) to support patient care across all stages of telehealth consultations. In this role, you will help prepare patients for virtual visits, ensure both technical and clinical readiness, and provide real-time support to healthcare providers during consultations. You will play a key role in delivering smooth, efficient, and high-quality telehealth experiences before, during, and after each visit. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Demonstrated experience handling and reviewing medical records, clinical documentation, and patient charts
  • Prepare patients for telehealth visits by confirming schedules, verifying information in the EMR, reviewing medications, and ensuring all required forms and documentation are completed.
  • Assist patients with telehealth technology, including login support and troubleshooting connection or platform issues.
  • Support providers during virtual visits by presenting pre-visit summaries, documenting in the EMR, entering orders, and coordinating referrals or follow-up appointments.
  • Manage post-visit tasks by closing encounters, communicating care instructions, tracking authorizations, test results, and referrals, and ensuring continuity of care.
  • Handle medication-related tasks, including reconciliation, refill requests, and initiating prior authorizations as needed.




Skills, Knowledge & Expertise

  • Must have at least 1 year of experience with patient-facing roles (call centers, scheduling, customer service, or admin support)
  • Graduates of a medical allied course are highly preferred (e.g., Nursing, Medical Technology, Pharmacy, Physical Therapy, Radiologic Technology, Healthcare Administration, or similar)
  • Strong working knowledge of clinical workflows and healthcare processes (patient intake, charting, referrals, authorizations, follow-ups).
  •  Ability to accurately follow structured telehealth workflows, including patient intake and data verification, medication reviews and refill routing, referral and follow-up coordination, with strong attention to detail and a willingness to learn healthcare and telehealth best practices.
