Job Overview

We are pleased to be recruiting a highly organised and proactive PAM Admin Officer to join our Student Services team on a fixed-term, maternity cover basis at Sandwell College. This role will commence in July 2026.

Reporting to the Programme Achievement Manager (PAM), this is a key administrative role supporting the effective operation of the Student Achievement and Support Team, with particular responsibility for coordinating and administering the college behaviour and disciplinary processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer, organise and accurately record student disciplinary panel hearings
  • Provide full administrative support to Programme Achievement Managers and reporting support to the Assistant Principal
  • Minute meetings for relevant working groups and ensure accurate documentation
  • Input, maintain and produce management information using college IT systems and software packages
  • Maintain effective communication with management, staff, students and external stakeholders
  • Support attendance officers, welfare teams and administration colleagues during peak periods or staff absence
  • Assist with enrolment procedures and other departmental administrative tasks
  • Conduct home visits alongside the Programme Achievement Manager where required
  • Maintain strict confidentiality at all times
  • Undertake training and additional duties to support the effective running of the department


Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

  • Minimum Level 2 qualification in English and Maths
  • NVQ Level 2 in Business Administration (or equivalent) desirable
  • Experience working in a busy office or administrative environment
  • Previous experience of minute-taking
  • Strong working knowledge of Excel and other IT systems
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to work to tight deadlines
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Commitment to safeguarding, equality, diversity and inclusion
  • Full driving licence (desirable)
