Job Overview

The Marketing Executive plays a key role in driving engagement and growth. Their purpose is to drive lead generation, as well as to develop and execute marketing strategies that position the learning programs effectively to legal and compliance professionals. This includes managing digital campaigns, crafting compelling messaging, coordinating with subject matter experts, and analysing data performance to improve brand reach. The role requires a strong understanding of the target audience’s professional needs and the ability to translate complex topics into accessible, value-driven communications.

Key Responsibilities

Email Marketing:
• Accurate proofing of emails, including newsletters and targeted campaigns.
• Build emails and create templates.
• Develop an understanding of basic segmentation, dynamic content, A/B testing and page
rules, forms, and landing pages etc.
• Execute email marketing campaign activities aligned with marketing plans e.g., sending
marketing emails, requesting mailing lists, writing copy, sourcing new data etc.
• Incorporate email testing strategy in marketing plan.
• Develop knowledge of email marketing best practice and competitor trends.

Social Media Marketing:
• Conduct a variety of paid campaigns, including boosting post, matched audiences, look
alike profiles and creation of targeted groups.
• Implement a clear testing strategy for organic posts and paid posts.
• Track lead gen/ direct registrations as a result of social campaigns.
• Accurate posting throughout all stage of the campaign including, LinkedIn events, organic
posts reflecting available content, during event and post-event posts.
Websites:
• Build websites accurately.
• Have an excellent working knowledge of Swoogo. For example, be able to offer solutions on Swoogo, bespoke to different events e.g., if we include add-ons, multiple streams,
invitation only events etc.

Mentoring:
• Train marketing assistants on all marketing platforms and activities.
Data requests:
• Pull complex data requests for events.
• Have an awareness and be able to act on insufficient internal data.
• Create campaigns in Pardot.
Product knowledge:
• Become an event marketing specialist in a few brands/ event types.
• Develop a good working knowledge of audience composition and use that to be better
adapt copy, segment data and build audiences.
• Have a basic understanding of current trends in the brands you are working on.
• Independently identify important delegates and speakers.
• Be able to understand and identify the different organisation types and segment data
accordingly.

Marketing plans:

• Build marketing plans from templates.
• Build in a testing strategy in line with your marketing plan.
• Have a clear understanding of why marketing plans are structured in such a way.
• Identify cross promotion opportunities with other events and webinars.
 
Reporting and analytics:
• Track feedback of the event, draw out relevant comments and testimonials and make
inferences from those.
• Be able to spot and act on registrations trends.
• Report on GA data.
• Adapt marketing plan dependent on the success/ lack of success of different activities.
• Accurately maintain budgets and track ROI.
• Track event revenue and put in strategies to reach targets.
• Report upwards on any of the above.

Partnerships:
• Source accurate ‘supporting organisation’ research lists for events you are working on.
• Follow the ‘supporting organisation’ workflow.

Audience management:
• Monitor audiences effectively for your events, constantly ITR and audience composition.
• Flag and act appropriately (organising meetings, flagging with manager) if an event is
underperforming.
• Suggest crises management strategies for underperforming events.
 
Event attendance:
• Attend events. 
• Coordinate interviews.
• Coordinate interview questions. 
• Conduct interviews and network on the day. 
• Help with on-the-day ops (as required).

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

  • Proficiency in email marketing platforms (e.g., Pardot, Mailchimp), CMS tools, and social media ad managers.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Analytical mindset with attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Collaborative and adaptable approach to working cross-functionally.
  • Experience in eLearning, education, or digital events is a plus.
