From day one, you will be working alongside other talented interns, you’ll partner with peers and work closely with leaders as you grow in your role. You’ll have the opportunity to dive deep into a variety of different projects and gain exposure to the innerworkings of the business. Our interns get to know all levels within Intermedia and even interact with our down to earth and supportive senior leadership team!

About The Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated Data Scientist Intern who is passionate about using data analysis and predictive modeling to optimize revenue and reduce revenue churn. As an intern, you will work with our sales, support, analytics, and development teams to collect and analyze customer data from disparate sources such as Salesforce, proprietary billing systems, Oracle service cloud, and other databases. You will develop predictive models and provide insights and recommendations to reduce customer churn and improve revenue. You will gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced environment, working with real-world data.

What you will be doing:

  • Collaborate with sales, support, analytics, and development teams to understand customer behavior and identify patterns and trends related to revenue churn.
  • Collect and integrate data from disparate sources such as Salesforce, proprietary billing systems, Oracle service cloud, and other databases.
  • Develop and implement predictive models using machine learning and statistical techniques to predict customer churn and revenue loss.
  • Work with large datasets using SQL and other database systems.
  • Conduct A/B testing and other experiments to validate and refine models.
  • Document and present findings and recommendations to the teams

What you will bring to the role:

  • Currently pursuing a Master's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field
  • Experience with statistical analysis and modeling techniques
  • Familiarity with machine learning libraries and frameworks such as scikit-learn, TensorFlow, or PyTorch
  • Knowledge of database systems and SQL
  • Experience working with disparate data sets from multiple sources.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to present findings to non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Prior experience with data analysis, predictive modeling, or A/B testing
  • Familiarity with cloud computing platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
  • Understanding of software development best practices, including version control and code review
